The annual generation capacity for these seven wind farms is estimated to reach 500 GWh in 2008.

Endesa Cogeneracion y Renovables, S.A. and Enerfin-Enervento, S.A., part of the Elecnor Group, have signed an agreement to develop marine wind farm projects in Spain.
To this end, they have incorporated a 50/50 joint venture company called the Cape Trafalgar Marine Wind Consortium, which will focus on the coastal areas of southern Spain where potential wind capacity has been estimated at around 3,000 MW, equivalent to one-quarter of current installed mainland capacity.
In related news, Endesa concluded its three-year agreement with Gamesa to acquire wind farms in Italy. During this time Endesa has added seven new facilities with 240 MW installed capacity, for a total investment of Euro 305 million [US$400 million]. The annual generation capacity for these seven wind farms is estimated to reach 500 GWh in 2008.
Combined with three other wind farms, these new facilities in Italy will provide Endesa Europe with a 15% share of total installed wind-power capacity in Italy, and cover as much as 77% of its future "green certificate" needs in the Italian market.
The company also recently announced the start up of a new wind farm in southern Spain (Cadiz) with a total installed capacity of 12 MW and an investment of Euro 14 million [US$18 million]. The new wind power complex, equipped with six Gamesa G-80 wind turbines, each with a unit capacity of 2 MW and a height of 67 meters, is the ninth that Endesa has installed in Andalusia.
In all, 102.7 MW of installed capacity will be added to the total for Andalusia wind farms, bringing the total to 275 MW for this autonomous region.
